RYAN TEWARI

Chair, GIO Business Chamber

Ryan is an Indian-born financial services expert based out of the Netherlands, with more than 30 years of experience. CEO of Mahler Fund Management BV and former CEO of Cordares Capital Care Services - the then 4th biggest pension administrator in the Netherlands - with assets under management of over 24 billion euros. 
 

Previously, he worked in various positions in the financial sector at Achmea Pensions & Holding, Eureko, Delta Lloyd, and DCE Consultants. He studied at Hindu College, (Delhi), University Faculties Saint Ignatius Antwerp, Universities of Leiden, Amsterdam, and INSEAD. 
 

He pursued several postgraduate studies in Property Management, Corporate Finance, Management & Financial Accounting, and Fund Management. He is also the former chairman of the India Steering Committee of the Holland Financial Centre and former advisor to IFCI Venture Capital in India. 
 

In 2009 he co-founded the IXL Group with other investors and acquired a stake in the fifth oldest bank in Germany, Bankverein Werthe. The IXL group became a foundation for many spin-offs of the IXL companies internationally. In 2011 he established Mahler Funds together with a group of investors and launched the Mahler India Growth Fund which received recognition for its high returns for investors in the Dutch retail fund market.

 

He also serves as Non-Executive Chairman at Red Ribbon Capital Partners, UK, and is actively involved in EU-India free trade negotiations.

LAVANYA RAJA

Co-Chair, GIO Business Chamber

Lavanya is a B2B Fintech founder and an award-winning entrepreneur. Lavanya has successfully executed a merger exit from her last venture and has experience in business consolidations, joint ventures, and product spinoffs in finance and technology domains. 

She has a Master's in Finance from London Business School, UK, and an engineering degree from NIT, India. She has a decade rich of hands-on experience working across Asia, and Africa developing businesses at the intersection of Finance and technology. 

Lavanya is frequently invited to speak in conferences, round table discussions, and webinars by the governments of India, the UK, and South Africa to share her expertise in FinTech and entrepreneurship. She sits on the advisory board of UK fintech firms, and mentors and coaches new woman entrants to the Finance industry as part of a professional organization. 

Outside of this, she is an angel investor and currently works in London for PAI Partners, a global private equity firm specializing in leveraged buyouts investing from its $6+ Billion PAI VIII fund. 
She actively advocates for making India the next Venture capital hotspot and the role of the Indian Diaspora in achieving this.
